HAWAIIAN WATER READINGS

Once upon a time I was on Oahu visiting my Kapuna Dawn Wasson who is the head of my church Ho'ola I Ka Honua.  She said she was taking my husband and myself to see this lady named Auntie Momi who did Ho'oponopono.  I said that I did Ho'oponopono.  Dawn replied, not like this.  Well it was a Sunday and we arrive at a little house in Wahiawa. There were many people waiting outside very quietly.   Dawn said that we might want to have  a small donation ready.  Well we were as broke as church mice at that time but we had a bit of cash and some sea salt we had collected the day before out at Waianae, so we brought those items into the house when it came our turn.

When we entered the house there was this very frail Hawaiian woman sitting in a wheelchair and under the wheelchair was an alert  pit bull dog.  I was elected to go first, yet I had no earthly idea what to expect.  I sat beside this elderly woman and she asked me if I had any questions and I said no I didn't.  She handed me a glass of water that had I found out later,  had olena, lemon grass and sea salt in it.  She bade me drink from the glass and then said a long prayer in Hawaiian.  She took back the glass and then she went quiet for a while.  Then she gave me a what I now call a Water Reading.  She spoke in metaphors, once saying that she saw a surfboard that was surrounded by black but  behind that black force was a brilliant white light.  She said I was a diamond and asked if I wanted to ask any questions, which I declined.

Well, my husband Tyco was sitting there while I was getting my reading and was wondering what to ask.   He thought  would ask about his foot that had bothered him since his heavy martial arts days.  When it came his turn the first thing Auntie Momi said to him was, "Boy, there's something wrong with your foot just past the ankle and before the toe.  You know how to fix it, go home and fix your foot. "  She also said to him that he was a diamond too and that was why he was with me.  And that was my  introduction to the Water Readings.

We went back a couple of years later and Auntie Momi at that time was bed ridden and we knew this was probably our last chance to see her.  We were more prepared with our offerings and brought crystals and money as gifts.  We also had many more questions this time and she spent much time answering us and asked us many questions as to what we did.  She had many things to say to us that brought us insight as to where we would end up being.  We were grateful for her gift to us and were sad to hear of her passing.

That was that, for sometime.  Tyco my husband often wondered aloud who would receive the gift of Water Readings from Auntie Momi and stated a desire to be the one who did.  My Kapuna Dawn too, wondered who would be bestowed the sight.  Auntie Momi did give Dawn the prayer that was said at the Water Readings.  However, she at some time lost it.  In April of 2008 I was doing an exchange with the lovely Tina Stober.   Tina Stober is one of the four founders of the Intenders from which Tony Burroughs has based his best seller THE CODE on.  Tina also for 25 years has channeled a being named Lee Ching who has been helping people in their healing and spiritual paths.

Tina had come to me to do a Soul to Soul Communication with a Kupuna who now was on the Rainbow side, Hale Makua.  She had wanted to become a student of his but the timing and situations didn't allow this to happen.  She wished to understand this better so she chose to contact him.  We accessed Hale Makua's higher consciousness and he was able to explain the occurrences and how everything was working for everyone's highest good.  Then, Tina exclaimed that a little Hawaiian woman with long wavy hair was coming in from the back left field and that she was wanting to speak to me, Ke'ala.

This is at not at all usual when I have Soul to Soul Communications, often the spirit that is being communicated with will express their desire to speak to me.  I had not yet,  have one butt in on another spirit's session though and this was a bit amusing.  Tina said Auntie Momi had been looking for an opportunity to speak to me.  She said she wanted me to write a book about Ancient Hawaiian Knowledge.  I had   just finished doing the last draft of the fourth book I had finished in the last four months.  I literally groaned at the prospect of another book.  Yet, she insisted that many of the Kupuna from the Rainbow side had much to say and that I should be the one to write it.  Hale Makua concurred that there was much Huna, secrets that should no longer be secret and there were many who wanted to come forward with truths.

I relented not so graciously, as I knew my husband's view at that time about writing a book.  He had actually said he would leave me if I wrote another one, as the writing of four books over three years had taken a great toll on our relationship.  As predicted,  he was appalled at first at the idea but something persuaded him that this was different and he finally approved.

I got quite a bit of information from both Auntie Momi and Hale Makua during that first session.  I did another session with an assistant being my guide and my connecting to Auntie Momi's spirit's directly. That was a very powerful session, I had tears in my eyes most of the time.  She told how important this book was and how the world needed it to be written and I had been chosen because I could write it without interfering with it.  She went on to explain how the Water Readings were done.  I stated to her then that I was not interested in doing the Water Readings.

The next session was when Tina attempted to do a Soul to Soul with Auntie Momi and I have to laugh recalling it because Auntie Momi spent a half an hour telling us both that she didn't want to do the sessions that way.  She went on and on about some personal information for me and then how I was supposed to contact her directly. I asked some questions that everyone was wanting to know, such as who would be getting the Water Reading Gift as I told  her that Tyco and Dawn and others were  interested but as she knew that I wasn't, I reminded her and she just chuckled.   I was to find a quiet place, preferably by the ocean and do a new type of meditation ceremony called Clear Mind and then sit and write what came to me, and it must be with a pencil.  I was to drink the Water Reading water and then I would be able to tap into what she wanted written.  Later in that same session we received more information from Hale Makua that will be used in the Book of Knowledge.

So, I started doing these sessions with Auntie Momi giving information for the Book of Knowledge on a regular basis.  I would sit with my pencil and paper in hand by the ocean, clear my mind with meditation and then drink the prepared water.  The information didn't come in voices or visions, I just wrote what came, not to mind because I was open and MY mind was a blank.   I do recall once in the beginning my mind did come in and it put something else on the paper, and I was instructed to immediately change it.  That was the last time I interfered with the process.  I can't tell you where it comes from because I do not know.   I can feel Aunties Momi's presence and often she has encouraged me with personal insights that have helped my own process of growth.  I would do the sessions and come home and translate them to the computer.  It wasn't until some time later that I noticed how the writings looked.  It was definitely my writing, and I have atrocious hand writing which made the project a bit of a trial for me to read.  Yet, I noticed that the writing was completely fluid.  There were no hesitations, save that one, and the thoughts didn't have to be edited at all.  The messages were in just the right language and syntax to be understood as is. without embellishment or further elaborations.  The only time the writing was not this way was when I didn't have a proper backing to write on and the hand itself couldn't make the smooth contact with the paper.  This would happen when I took only paper with me and not  a notebook.  So the writing itself would not have a firm foundation and it was harder to physically write.

In one of these sessions Auntie Momi gave me a prayer for the Water Readings.  It was in English and it was very simple and it was something that I could easily grasp.  I again had asked her specifically about her passing the Water Readings on to members of her family or her students as Dawn had once again asked me to ask her.  She said that her family was not ready yet to receive them and that her students could do them if they wished, they had only to try.  That they had to put the effort into the work of them.

I went to Kauai to take a much needed break from the writing of my books and camped at my favorite place Polihale.  There I did some meditations with the Kupuna from ancient times and was given much information that was for my personal history and growth.  I also had brought my water preparations for my sessions with Auntie Momi.   On several occasions in my sessions with her, she would talk to me about the Water Readings.  I remained adament that I really didn't want to do them.  She tried to convince me that they were not as I imagined them to be.  I thought at that time that after doing intensive healing programs with women for nine years, that I had had quite enough insight to people's lives and really didn't want to be bothered with more burdens.  She insisted that they weren't like my work that I do now.  My hypnotherapy sessions were always geared to helping people reach a healing outcome and they took a lot of effort upon my part to achieve those results.  She said the readings weren't like that at all.  She said they were metaphors that the person who got the reading was supposed to try and figure out for themselves.  She exclaimed that people loved to have the readings because they weren't specific.  They could discern their own translations of them.  She said that people loved the mystique of them, the wondrous process of getting messages from beyond.  She also pointed out that this method also involved the person in their own healing path, because they had to puzzle it out for themselves.  Auntie Momi said that often people didn't like black and white answers or advice from other people.  But that they were receptive to messages from the beyond.  She also said that the responsibility would lay with her and she was dead so they really couldn't object to that.

On Kauai she mentioned that I should just try a reading there.  I knew of no one there.  She said just try it, see what you think then.  So I was out trying to sell my crystals and books at a beach park in Hana.  I hooked up with another lady who was selling some jewelry.  She was a very nice woman and was in transition and I offered to do a reading for her.  I did explain that it was my first Water Reading and she actually felt honored.  Well, I got the water ready and held the woman's hands as I prayed for assistance as I have been given.  The reading wasn't like seeing precise visions.  I got some visuals, but more impressions then actual scenes or objects.  Then I just started talking, talking about the her situation and it just came forth and it was right.   The woman was very impressed with what was said and I thanked her for her precious accommodation as my first WATER READING.

I came back and thought why not?  So I started with my friends, I did some with people on the internet, I started doing them at the Sunday Muku'u farmers market and they went very well.  I am now comfortable with them.  What I receive is almost immediately validated by the person receiving them and alas to my surprise, I enjoy doing them.  There is as joy to doing them, because I have no attachment to what is being given in them.  I feel almost excited and sometimes otherworldly yet very much engaged in the process and at the same time oddly detached from it at the same time.  So it is what it is and I don't know what it is.  But it is the WATER READINGS.  I thank Auntie Momi with entrusting this precious gift that has been handed down throughout the ages.  I am by no means the only one who could do this, I think really anyone can.

As with tradition, there is no charge for doing the readings. However donations are greatly  appreciated.  It was the Kupuna's desire that the knowledge be brought forth for all and so too will the benefits of the book. We are to share this knowledge at a place in Hawaii, a Pu'u Honua, a place of refuge.  We want to create a place where people, all people can come and learn from these teachings. A place to reflect and renew and to heal and grow spiritually.  We  are looking at about 100 acres as our base somewhere here in Hawaii.
